Right after spawning the cod spreads over the continental shelf, but the highest abundance is on the most crucial feeding grounds off the northwest and southeast Coastline where warm Atlantic waters satisfy chilly Polar currents.Cod is often recognized by its catfish-like whiskers on its decrease jaw. The fish also has a few individual dorsal fins.
